Devlog #6 - A little Preview
Welcome back to Fogworld’s devlog! Today I’d like to show you a few of the things I updated and polished for the technical test demo in december.
Player Character
The player character was one of the first sprites I drew for the game, and just like the other character portraits, it didn’t have the textured look that the rest of the game had. So I made the decision to redraw all the character portraits. Not all of them are done yet, but this one will be in the demo.
Not only the portrait sprite had to change, but also the old sprite you use to walk around on the overworld. It’s now animated, too!
The Sanctuary
The Sanctuary is the home base for your operations in Fogworld. I avoided showing it so far, because it was just a simple sketch I drew. The new version with its parallax scrolling and huge glowing portal is much more of a looker.
Map Icons
These Icons appear on the overworld map to highlight points of interest. The old grinning faces have been replaced with dark gothic ornaments, featuring different skulls.
